About Us
At MD Buildworks, we are a family-owned and operated General Contractor serving San Francisco. Founded by Matt Dea who is also a licensed Professional Civil Engineer, MD Buildworks combines technical expertise with a passion for craftsmanship. Inspired by his father, Dickson, whom while growing up honed his skills in home remodels alongside his brothers, Matt developed a deep appreciation for construction at an early age. Through years of hands-on experience working alongside his father, Matt cultivated a strong foundation in building and renovation. Today, MD Buildworks offers clients the full package - the technical know-how of an engineer coupled with the artistry and attention to detail of a contractor.

Kickstart your project journey by sharing your vision with us. Simply fill out our Client Project Questionnaire and we'll take the first step towards turning your dreams into reality.

We’ll follow up with a phone consultation to discuss your needs and ideas in more detail and provide an estimate. Afterward, we’ll arrange an in-home consultation to go over your project specifics. This in-home consultation comes with a $500 investment, which will be credited toward your project if you decide to move forward with us.

We will come to your home and assess your space and lay the groundwork for our build strategy. We will take measurements, discuss the materials and finishes, schedule, and budget to get your project started.

We craft a detailed proposal and formalize our partnership with a contract and deposit, solidifying our commitment to bringing your project to life.

If you need design services for your remodel, we have you covered with our team of architects and engineers. After the contract is signed, our team will begin crafting the design for your space.

We'll conduct a Pre-Construction meeting with you to ensure that every aspect is meticulously planned before commencing construction so that you feel comfortable and confident before we break ground.

Our skilled team springs into action, working diligently on your project. Throughout the process, you'll receive regular updates and have the opportunity to participate in project status meetings.

Upon completion, we'll walk through the finished project together, ensuring that every detail meets your expectations and our high standards of quality.

We take pride in our approach, including our cleanup process. For larger projects, we enlist the help of professional cleaners to leave your space immaculate.

After confirming your satisfaction with the finished result, we'll collect the final payment, marking the successful completion of your project and the beginning of your new chapter.
